Annual Felicitation of meritorious children of members of the Madgaon School Complex Co-operative Credit Society was organised in the conference hall of Ravindra Bhavan, Margao where in over 70 students from SSC to Post Graduate along with Sports and Extracurricular activities were felicitated with certificate, memento and cash award. On this occasion while speaking chief guest of the function, Minister for Transport, Shri Mauvin Godinho appreciated the work done by the Madgaon school complex Co-operative society in the field of co-operation and education and appealed to spread its presence not only across Goa but move out of Goa in the neighbouring states. Since the society is using technology to reach out to its members he urged the society to adopt the same for the purpose of encouragement and enhancement of the skills of students community. Guest of Honour Chairman of Swami Vivekananda College, Bori congratulated the society for the consistent progress of the society since last 41 years with increasing the membership form 36 to near around 2000. He said since the society is run by educators it has shown discipline, dedication and transparency which helped to earn the trust and confidence of the members which is openly visible by the progress made by the society. He urged the students that not to run only after professions medicine and engineering while the good students also join the teaching profession so that the children from future generation get good teachers. Shri Kisan Phadte, Ex Chairman of the Society also spoke on the occasion as special Invitee and thanked all the past and present board members for the faith and confidence reposed on the functioning of the society. On this Occasion Principal of Shree Damodar Higher Secondary School of science, Margao who is the recipient of Sate Teachers award in the Principal Category for the year 2019-20 was felicitated at the hands of Chief Guest Shri Mauvin Godinho with Shawl, Sriphal, Memento and flowering plant. Chairman of the Society Shri Babaji Sawant in his welcome address congratulated the children for the meritorious performance and urged to continue with same in the coming years. He also briefed about the positive changes brought in the financial transactions in the society in terms of lending and deposits and requested the members present to support this Co-operative Institution in future by providing opportunity to serve the educators. Treasurer Mrs laurencia Vaz E Rebello presented the annual report of the society in brief while Dr Gunaji Dessai, Mrs Savita Tawadkar, Mr Joquim Faliero introduced the guests and Mr Tulshidas Dessai introduced felicitee. Mr Anthony Vaz and Shri Raghuvir Dessai compeered the function which ended with National Anthem.
